Meet Your Therapist: Ashton Mullee, MSW, SWC

Hello. I'm Ashton, and I understand that seeking therapy takes significant courage. Whether you are dealing with the impact of past trauma, navigating difficult life changes, or simply feeling stuck, my goal is to provide a safe, structured space where you can find stability and make lasting change.


My practice is based in Colorado, and I work with clients who are ready to move beyond just surviving. I focus on helping you build resilience and take control of your present and future.

My Approach

My practice isn't limited to one set of techniques. Instead, I use a flexible, integrated approach, drawing from multiple established, evidence-based theories to create a plan that fits you, not the other way around. We work together as partners, focusing on the three major phases of recovery: stabilization, processing, and future-building.

The therapeutic modalities listed below are examples of the theories I draw from; however, my clinical choices are always tailored to meet your unique needs.


Core Therapeutic Theories


  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): This forms the foundation for stability. We use practical DBT skills to help you manage intense emotions, reduce crisis behaviors, and implement effective grounding techniques for immediate relief from stress.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): This is essential for changing deeply held beliefs. I specifically incorporate principles from Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to help you identify and challenge the distorted thoughts—often called "stuck points"—that trauma leaves behind regarding your safety, self-worth, and ability to trust.
  • Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT): While we address the roots of your current distress, we maintain a firm focus on your future. Solutions-Focused techniques help us clearly define your desired outcomes, identify existing strengths, and create clear, actionable steps toward your goals.
